Weather

I'm pretty fascinated by the weather at times. Let's look at today for example.

I woke up around 8:45 or 9. Someone had Insagram'd a picture of what it looked like outside their window. Yep, plenty of snow. I checked out my own window just to see the lay of the land and it was pretty white with snow still coming down.

By the time I left for campus around 10:30, snow was already starting to melt and it was probably in the high 30s.

Once I was done with class and had stopped in the newsroom, my walk home just before 2 was quite pleasant. The sun was shining brightly and most of the snow was melted.

I stopped by Jeff's apartment and ended up staying till around 5. At that point it was really sunny and the snow completely gone. There was nothing left. It was pretty warm out too; I imagine somewhere in the low-to-mid 40s.

All in all, an interesting day.

For Brewers' opening day it was apparently 50ish, which is not bad but still a bit chilly for baseball. Except when I really think about it, 50-something at the beginning of April in Wisconsin is pretty warm and I'm sure plenty of people were wearing shorts. Too bad the Brewers got trounced by the Cardinals.

Tonight I have zero plans except to finish watching 30 Rock and maybe make some rice because I'm feeling like something with soy sauce would be really delicious right about now. For a while I was bummed that I've got nothing going on tonight. The more I think about it though the more I realize how lovely it is to just not do anything. Yesterday night was kind of a whirlwind of adventure and I loved it completely and probably wouldn't mind doing it again but I'm also pretty content with what's on my plate.

I think the only thing I would rather be doing is playing racquetball.

Trip to Tennessee Part I

I'm currently chilling in the airport, playing Angry Birds and using Instagram. Hopefully this actually gets posted on Saturday. Blogging (almost) every day in August has been quite enjoyable thus far. I'm lucky that I've had such fun things come my way as of late, namely the wedding I'm about go to and getting ready to go back to Utah for school.

I feel as if I'm part of some awesome club, what with me typing this all on my iPod Touch. People around me probably think I'm texting like crazy but in fact I'm blogging. The whole concept of me blogging from my Touch, which does not have a name though it should, is quite baffling. Barely over a year ago I didn't have a nice laptop or a fancy touch screen iPod. Now I can't really imagine living without such things. Obviously I can but as far as every day things are concerned, I need my MacBook, which I have christened Rory Williams. You'll probably have to Google him. (Side note: Macbook just auto corrected to MacBook. Oh Steve Jobs... Speaking of auto correct, Becca, we haven't read that site in recent weeks. That's a problem.)

That was quite a long side note. Blame my bff Jordan, Scottish missionary extraordinaire, for that. He's gotten me into writing long tangents like that. That's how it goes when your only form of communication is hand-written letters. It's an art that I absolutely love, letter writing is. I'm currently in waiting mode; a letter should be arriving any day now, and I just hope it's not today since I'll have to wait all freakin' weekend to read it.

Well, that's all I have for you fine people. Have a fantastic weekend everyone. Expect a Tennessee and weekend recap Sunday night!

The night that always comes

During BEDA I've always noticed there are nights where I just have so much to do and finish before it gets too late so that when I finally realize I haven't written a blog post yet I kind of just get annoyed. Tonight is that night.

It's funny too because just last night I was telling my friend Becca how much fun BEDA is and how much I love doing it and how much I love blogging. And tonight I just don't want to deal with it. I have this big Spanish test tomorrow that I want to do REALLY WELL on. Not just kind of get a good grade. I'm talking ASTONISHINGLY WELL. I'll report back tomorrow.

Another reason I'm not in the mood to blog is because I kind of just want to go to bed. Well, not right now but, like, within in an hour. On Thursdays I get up earlier than I ever would otherwise so I can go w/ the aforementioned Becca to do church stuff. It's kind of hard to explain but just trust me that it's awesome. I'm not trying to be cryptic; I'm just lazy.

In other news, I'll be home in less than three weeks. I'm incredibly excited to be stopping off in Iowa on my way back to see my best friend, Katherine. I haven't seen her since the very beginning of January so this will be epic.

Yeah, that's all I've got. I think my new thing will be telling you guys the last YouTube video I watched/the video I'm currently watching since I tend to watch videos while I write my blogs.
