JIMMER JIMMER CHICKEN DINNER

I have successfully completed BEDA! This actually does make me feel really awesome and accomplished. Blogging has become even more fun for me in the past month. I've obviously had to push myself a little more, and sometimes the posts do reflect how I didn't have things to really talk about at times, but there are other posts that started out pretty poorly but turned into some of my favorite ones to write, though you would have never known that had I not told you.

So, uh, I guess I'm supposed to reflect upon something at this time. I think I'll take a leaf out of my friend Hannah's book (read: blog) and make a list of the few things I really do know for sure in life.

I know a lot about the power of a letter, of the lost art of handwritten communication, whether I'm sending a letter or receiving one. For almost a year now I've been hard at work keeping in touch with the wonderful men I met freshman year. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the times at which I was happiest during my sophomore year have been because I was holding a letter from a boy in my hands. There's something so raw and emotional about handwritten notes.

I know a thing or two about Harry Potter. I can tell you all about the books and even about stuff that didn't make it in that would have changed it completely. I know how incredible it is that Harry Potter can bring people together, because without it I never even would have met the aforementioned (amazing) Hannah. I know that what's coming will come.

I know what it means to be a Christian. I know what it means to attend BYU and to be a Mormon, at least as far as my life is concerned.

I know what it feels like to stand between the people that have become my greatest friends, and greatest loves, at basketball games and football games. I know what it's like to sit/stand in line for hours just to get a semi-decent seat to see Jimmer Fredette do what he does best. I know what it's like to see someone get Jimmered.

I know a lot about grocery shopping in Utah and how the nearby store seems to lack the things my favorite store at home has in abundance: cheese, various sausages, 100% pure maple syrup, and lots of beer. I know that making Chinese food at 1 am with your lovely redhead roommate is not only acceptable but encouraged.

I know that when your roommates tell you to "kiss the crap out of him," they really mean have fun spending time with him because he's awesome. I also know that they are semi-serious when they say it.

I know a lot about The Office. I can give you a quote for probably any and all circumstances. I know that Jim Halpert has only heightened my desire for a hilarious and clever man to step into my life at whatever time it happens.

I know what it feels like to be completely surrounded by people yet still feel alone. And I know that sometimes when you want to be alone, that really means you need one specific person there with you, even though he's all the way in Washington DC. But fortunately, I also know that those times pass and everything will be okay.

Thanks for reading, friends. You can be sure to find me blogging even more this summer. Catch you on the flipside.
